Or HaOlam

Or HaOlam is Hebrew for Light of the World. A nine-branched lamp, or hanukiyah, used for Hanukah, stood in the Temple of Jerusalem, lighting up the entire city. The shamash, which means "servant candle," was used to light the other eight. In order for us to bring light to the world, we need to depend on God to light the fire within us. Israel is called by God to bring light to all the nations.
